BRUNA FRACASCIO

Bruna from Indaiatuba, in the interior of São Paulo, art had been part of her childhood as a way of dealing with dyslexia and family issues.
It was only after mismatches in more classical careers that she decided to study cinema and dedicate herself to her artistic side. Her work is nourished by curiosity and childhood memories.

SYNONYM OF DISMANCHING

One of the biggest challenges of the human race is working with its disconnections, its complexities and its reflections, by facing yourself or the world. Bruna Fracascio discovered herself dyslexic at eight years old, being seen as the one who didn't fit the pre-designed models or the one that didn't stand out in any activities. From that, she started to draw and paint. Dyslexia and art became her partners, working as the sun and the moon in a continuous process of improvement. Above the starry background of possibilities and dreams, a trajectory was made, understanding the creative potentialities as something that keeps us alive, enabling bigger possibilities to establish connections with the hardships that the world presents, understanding them as potentialities.

INVISIBLE SPECIES

The digital art collection entitled "Espécies Invisíveis" (Invisible Species) exists as a personal journey through Brazilian fauna and flora.

It begins with the hand-painting of the chosen visual elements, with the support of Photographic references. In the following, comes the digitalization, which allows the following manipulation with computer programs. The result brings all these

diverse characteristics, as a dialogue between real, the images transformation and mostly the use of colors, a fun and playful visuality, that carries a message about preserving nature.

BRUNA
by herself

Currently my relationship with dyslexia is essential. I deal with it with great gratitude, I feel that if it weren't for it,  I wouldn't be who I am, it is part of me and I am part of it. I see it as a gift, which allows me to imagine and create.

Since I was little, my life has been very painful, there has been a lot of pain, I have had to deal with big problems. I didn't have a full and colorful childhood, I didn't have space to develop as an artist, nor did I have references for that.

But one thing I had to spare was imagination - I remember being in my father's mechanics and playing with the rubbers that held the exhausts. To me, each one was shaped like a different animal. The tools became trees and the staple extractor was an alligator.

My imagination and my way of seeing the world saved me from many sad events. When the situation was not good, I imagined unlikely situations.
